Michael Tapp has been working in the television and film industry for five years. He graduated from Pellissippi State on the Dean’s List with an associate’s degree in video production. Since graduation, Michael has been relentlessly pursuing his craft. For over a year he worked at Armanda Costanza Inc. as a motion picture camera technician. At Armanda Costanza Inc. Michael maintained top of the line high definition and film cameras. Michael has edited shows for the D.I.Y. Network and has shot footage for the Travel Channel.
Michael Tapp and Michael Margle co-created Scott Summit. The Scott Summit project is a spoof of self-help gurus like Dr. Phil and Tony Robbins. Scott Summit, our self-help guru, is a fictional character that is supposed to look like he actually exists on the web. The videos are the main component of the Scott Summit project. Scott Summit’s videos have been featured on the front page of Digg, Buzzfeed, Metafilter and on PopTub: Pepsi’s best of YouTube webshow.
Michael is excited to be a part of New Media and thrilled to have a role in the redevelopment of television as we know it. Michael Tapp is a Knoxville native who enjoys playing guitar and would love an editing suite in the Sunsphere.
